During a normal scan for active malware Trojan Remover scans (and reports in the logfile) all Running Processes. This is an important part of the scan, as it allows Trojan Remover to detect actively running malware programs that are not directly started at boot-time (either by a registry entry, or from a startup location).

If you wish to disable the scan of Running Processes (perhaps because the scan hangs on a particular process) start Trojan Remover, select Options and click on Scan Running Processes to turn this option off - the green tick will change into a red cross to show that the option has been disabled. Click on Scan Running Processes to turn the option back on.
